What Goalbound collects, and why.
Goalbound has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name. We measure how the site is used, and we keep your email address only if you give it to us.
Analytics
Every page uses Google Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are (city or region, from the IP address), the device and browser, the page that sent you here, and which banners were seen or clicked. Google Analytics sets cookies to tell a returning visitor from a new one. We use the reports to decide what to build and to tell sponsors how often their banner was seen. We don't use them to identify anyone.
You can block this with your browser's tracking protection or with Google's opt-out add-on. Google's own handling of the data is described in its privacy policy.
If you subscribe to Insights or write to us, we have your email address. We use it to send new findings or to reply, and for nothing else. We don't sell it or share it. To stop, reply to any email and ask.
Sponsors
Some pages carry one banner, labelled “Sponsor” or “From Goalbound”. Clicking a sponsor's banner takes you to their site, where their privacy policy applies. Sponsors get totals only: how many times their banner was seen and clicked. We don't pass them anything about you.
The player data
The rosters, hometowns, statistics and All-America selections on Goalbound come from what colleges and associations publish on their own websites. If something about you is wrong, or you'd like a record reviewed, email tom@goalbound.co and we'll look at it.
Children
Goalbound is for high school and college athletes, their families and coaches. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.
